These are strange, uncertain times for all of us. We are all thinking of our friends and family and concentrating on staying safe at the moment. But we wanted to let you know how Equiptest will be operating in the weeks ahead.
Firstly, we have taken the decision to re-schedule all works that will compromise social distancing rules, and potentially carry a risk of infection, for three weeks. This decision will be revisited on the 14th April. All employees who have their work postponed until after the lockdown have registered to volunteer for their local NHS in the fight against COVID 19.
Other external works that we undertake where the systems are totally outside, such as lightning protection surveys, are continuing but only after being risk assessed by the team.
Essential ACB maintenance, fixed wire testing, dry riser inspections and repairs will still be completed at schools, or if the premises involved are empty and we can work within the guidelines. We will look at each case on an individual basis and make a decision that ensures the safety and well-being of everyone.
As the situation continues to evolve, we will keep adapting to the changing needs of our business and clients.
If you have any questions about the scheduled maintenance in your building or your responsibilities regarding electrical testing through this stressful period, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
In the meantime, look after yourselves and your family.
