Fire Alarm Testing
Ensuring your premises, property and most importantly, lives, are protected from the risk of fire is vital. Maintaining your fire protection system is an integral part of your fire safety plan.
Why is Fire Alarm Testing needed?
Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997 (As Amended 1999) requires any business with 5 or more employees to carry out a written risk assessment and have an emergency plan.
Failure to undertake and hold a written risk assessment is a criminal offence.
Premises where the general public could be at risk such as hotels, licensed premises, restaurants or places used for the purpose of public entertainment are also subject to regulations and often further special requirements. It is important that you are aware of your responsibilities and act accordingly.
As a fire alarm testing specialist, we have considerable expertise in the periodic inspection and test of fire alarms. After careful evaluation of your premises, its uses and its occupancy, we will carry out a formal inspection and test that fully complies with the requirements set out in BS5839.
All inspections involve checking that fire alarms are installed in the required locations and positions. We can test and maintain any premises, and provide you and your insurer with a suitable Fire Alarm service contract to BS5839.
Whether you are responsible for a shop, office, hotel, restaurant, care home, industrial unit, school, college or multi-occupation apartment building we can ensure you can meet your fire safety requirements.
