Fire Alarm Testing
Ensuring your premises, property and most importantly, lives, are protected from the risk of fire is vital. Maintaining your fire protection system is an integral part of your fire safety plan.
Why is Fire Alarm Testing needed?
Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997 (As Amended 1999) requires any business with 5 or more employees to carry out a written risk assessment and have an emergency plan.
Failure to undertake and hold a written risk assessment is a criminal offence.
Premises where the general public could be at risk such as hotels, licensed premises, restaurants or places used for the purpose of public entertainment are also subject to regulations and often further special requirements. It is important that you are aware of your responsibilities and act accordingly.
